How do I add a custom form from my autoresponder to Unbounce?
Cross-device tracking is an excellent way to keep track of potential customers that sign up to your list on one device, but then make the purchase another time on another browser or device.
If you rely on email follow-ups to drive your sales cycle, cross-device tracking is critical to getting the most accurate stats possible to scale your traffic and optimize your business.
This article will show you how to add a custom form to Unbounce so you can use cross-device tracking.
If you have not created your cmc_vid field or the custom form in the autoresponder you are using, please review the article below related to cross-device tracking. and make sure your custom field and form are created before adding anything to Unbounce.
You need to edit the form within your landing page inside Unbounce to match what you’ll use in Aweber.
2. Click on the form on the page and click “Edit Form Fields” on the right.
3. Add a hidden field to the form
4. Click “Done”, save and republish the page, and then copy the URL to that landing page because you’re going to need it for the next steps.
5. Go back to ClickMagick Campaigns, click on the Tools menu, and choose “URL Builder”.
6. Paste the URL of your landing page into the box, and give the first three parameters the value “test” as what we put here at this point doesn’t actually matter.
7. Copy the URL at the bottom by clicking “Save & Copy URL” put that URL into your browser and go to the page.
8. Enter any email into the page and submit the form.
We’re doing this to connect everything back to ClickMagick and properly connect the autoresponder with the populated field information from the form we just created on the page.
9. Go to your Unbounce dashboard and click on Integrations on the left.
10. Choose Aweber as the integration source.
11. Select the landing page you modified in the previous steps as the one to apply the integration to.
12. Follow the steps to connect to Aweber.
13. Choose the list you want the leads to be generated from this form.
You can add tags here, but it’s not required.
14. On the next page, click the button that says “Configure Field Mapping”
Caution:Do not skip this step or your Cross-Device Tracking will not work properly.
15. Configure the fields to map to the ones in your form. In this case – email should map to email, and cmc_vid should map to “cmc_vid”:
Save your changes and make sure the most recent version of your page is published.
And that’s it! You’ve now integrated Aweber using a custom form with Unbounce!
How To Add A GetResponse Custom Form
1. You first need to get your tracking code installed on your landing page.

2. Click on the form on the page and click “Edit Form Fields” on the right.
3. Add a hidden field to the form
4. Click “Done”, save and republish the page, and then copy the URL to that landing page because you need it for the next steps.
5. Go back to ClickMagick Campaigns, click on the Tools menu, and choose “URL Builder”.
6. Paste the URL of your landing page into the box, and give the first three parameters the value “test” as what we put here at this point doesn’t actually matter.
7. Copy the URL at the bottom by clicking “Save & Copy URL” put that URL into your browser and go to the page.
8. Enter any email into the page and submit the form.

9. Go to your Unbounce dashboard and click on Integrations on the left.
10. Search for GetResponse and pick the one that says “powered with Zapier”.
11. Select the landing page you modified in the previous steps as the one to apply the integration to, and click “Select and Continue with Zapier”.
Note:If you are taken to the integration settings of your landing page, click on the “Powered by Zapier” option, which will prompt you to get set up with Zapier. Then, you can find the GetResponse connection from there and continue through the process.
12. Follow the steps to connect to Zapier (either by signing in or creating a new account).
13. Unbounce should take you through creating the Zap right in their app. Give the new zap a name (if you’d like) and then connect your Unbounce account first.
14. Click “Continue” through the steps, and when you get to the point where you will test the zap, you should get the information back.
Note:If you do not get any information here, you’ll need to go back through the beginning steps and make sure you process at least one email through your capture page first.
15. Next, connect your GetResponse account. (You will need an API key from GetResponse to do this).
16. Once you connect the account, validate the correct account is selected and click continue to get to the “Set up action” page.
Caution:Follow the next few steps very closely. If you miss any part of these steps or add the wrong values, your Cross-Device Tracking will not work.
17. For the “Email” field, click in the box and then select “Form Data Email”
18. GetResponse requires the “Name” field to be filled for this to work. If you are not collecting names in your form, use the “Form Data Email” value here. You can select “Form Data Name” if you are collecting names.
For this article, we are not collecting names, so we are selecting “Form Data Email” so that way there is a value here.
19. For the cmc_vid field, choose “Form Data Cmc Vid” for the value.
All other fields can be left blank if you are not collecting additional data.
20. Click continue until you get to the test page, and then test the zap.
If done correctly, you should see a message like this:
If the test was completed and there are no errors, publish the zap.
And that’s it! You’ve now integrated GetResponse with Unbounce using Zapier!
How To Add A Mailchimp Custom Form

2. Click on the form on the page and click “Edit Form Fields” on the right.

5. Go back to ClickMagick Campaigns, click on the Tools menu, and choose “URL Builder”.

9. Now go to ActiveCampaign and click on apps at the bottom left (right above “Settings”)
10. Search for “Unbounce” and click on the icon for Unbounce.
11. Click “Add an account” at the top right of the page.
12. Follow the steps to connect your Unbounce account to ActiveCampaign.
13. Choose the page you want this integration connected to.
14. Choose the appropriate mapping for the fields you’re using. In this case, we have “Email” and the custom cmc_vid field we created previously.
Note:For cross-device tracking to work, you need to have the cmc_vid field selected in the mappings.
15. Click “Finish”
And that’s it! You’ve now integrated ActiveCampaign with Unbounce!
How To Add A ConvertKit Custom Form

2. Click on the form on the page and click “Edit Form Fields” on the right.

5. Go back to ClickMagick Campaigns, click on the Tools menu, and choose “URL Builder”.
6. Paste the URL of your landing page into the box, and give the first three parameters the value “test” as what we put here at this point doesn’t actually matter.
7. Copy the URL at the bottom by clicking “Save & Copy URL” put that URL into your browser and go to the page.
8. Enter any email into the page and submit the form.

9. Now go to Zapier and click “Create Zap”.
10. Search for “Unbounce” and click on the icon for Unbounce.
11. Click the “Sign In” button to walk through the sign-in process with Unbounce.
12. Choose “New Form Submission” as the event type and click Continue.
13. Choose your Account and click Continue.
14. Choose the Client and Landing Page to which you want this to connect, then click Continue.
15. Click the button to test the trigger, and if all was done properly you should see this:
16. Click Continue.
17. Search for ConvertKit, and select it.
18. Add the event “Add Subscriber to Form” as the event type and click continue.
19. Follow the sign-in process if not done already (You’ll need an API key from ConvertKit to do so)
20. To set up the action, select the custom form you created previously, select “Form Data Email” for the Email field, and select “Form Data Cmc Vid” for the cmc_vid field.
21. Click continue and test the zap. If successful, you will see a message like this:
And that’s it! You’ve now connected ConvertKit to Unbounce!
