This article will show you how to create a custom field in Mailchimp that allows you to store a unique visitor ID.
1. In Mailchimp, click on the Audience menu and choose “Signup forms.”
2. Expand the Settings menu and click on “Audience fields and *|MERGE|* tags.”
3. Toward the bottom of the next page, find and click the button that says “Add A Field.”
4. Choose “Text” as the option for the new field.
5. Mailchimp will automatically create the field for you, but you’ll need to update some of the values for the field. Use the values as shown in the screenshot below:
6. Click “Save Changes” and then that’s it! You’ve just created a new custom field in Mailchimp!
