How do I use the Conversion Velocity Report?


The Conversion Velocity Report shows you how long it takes users to convert, on average, after their first click.

This allows you to get a pretty good idea of, for example, how long it takes for you to break-even on your ads so you can plan and manage your campaigns accordingly.

It can also help prevent you from turning off potentially profitable ads too soon. For example, if you know it takes about a week to see the majority of conversions, you should probably think carefully about turning off a new ad after 3 days.

And you can see this data for any combination of UTM filters – which means you can see your overall numbers for all your traffic, or drill down to a specific traffic source or even an individual campaign or a specific ad.

You can also filter by conversion type. You’ll probably be most interested in Sales data, but you can also see conversion velocity stats for opt-ins, “initiate checkout” events, or any other goal you’re tracking.
