What should I know about adding Pixels to Tracking Links or Rotators?
With all of the privacy-related changes in the industry over the past few years, it is becoming much more difficult to do “creative” things like adding 3rd-party tracking codes to a Tracking Link or Rotator.
You can always add ClickMagick Tracking Pixels to a Tracking Link, Rotator or Rotator URL without any issues …
But if you want to add any other type of tracking pixels or codes – like Google Analytics or Facebook Ads pixels for example – here’s what you need to know:
1. You must set up a Custom Tracking Domain for your Tracking Links or Rotators
2. The Custom Tracking Domain MUST be a sub-domain of your primary domain e.g. track.yourdomain.com
In some cases there might be more you need to do, depending on what type of pixel or code you’re tring to add …
For example in the case of a Facebook pixel, you must be sure to verify the domain in your Facebook account.
