As part of our Fair Use Policy, we employ rate-limiting in our application to prevent any one user from generating an unreasonable load on our system. If you’re seeing this page it means you’ve exceeded one of these rate limits.


Why was I redirected to this page?

You’re either clicking around too fast or you’re loading the same page over and over too many times.

Please note that automated requests to the ClickMagick web app are not allowed. If you need to make automated requests, please use our API.


When will I be able to load the page I tried to access?

Our rate limits kick in if you load too many pages within one minute, one hour, or one day. You’ll be able to load the page you were trying to access once your usage drops back down to acceptable levels.

For security reasons we can’t tell you exactly what the rate limits are, but less than 1 out of every 1,000 ClickMagick users ever see this page – so if you are seeing this page it means you’re doing something very unusual.


I’m purposely loading the same page over and over lots of times. What now?

You should not have to reload the same page dozens of times within a few minutes, or hundreds of times over the course of a day, to use ClickMagick effectively. That’s not good for you, or our system.

If this is your first time seeing this page, the simplest thing to do is just slow down and try again in a bit.

On the other hand, if you’re seeing this page frequently, one of two things is going on ...

Either we need to add some new functionality to make it more efficient to get the data you need, or there’s a better way to do what you’re trying to do that you’re just not aware of.
