What happens if my credit card is declined?

If your card is ever declined, you’ll receive a notification to the email address we have on file for you, and you’ll also see an alert within your account that you have an outstanding balance.

Failed Payment Retry Schedule

After a failed payment, our automated billing system will retry the charge at the same time seven days later, then seven days after that in the event of another decline, and finally another seven days after that if necessary.

For example, if your payment is initially declined on the 3rd, our system will retry the payment again on the 10th, then again on the 17th, then finally, one last time on the 24th.

Account Restricted due to Past Due Status

After the second failed payment your account will be considered past due and your access will be restricted.

We’ll continue tracking and processing all your data, but you’ll only be able to access your billing page and you won’t be able to use ClickMagick. Once a payment is made, your account access will be restored automatically.

See below for details on how to trigger an immediate payment attempt any time you want.

Account Cancellation for Non-Payment

After the 4th failed payment attempt, which is 21 days after the first decline, your account — and all account data — will be automatically canceled and permanently deleted.

Please update your card details or do whatever necessary to make a payment if you want to keep using ClickMagick, because there’s nothing we can do if your account gets deleted for non-payment.

And by all means, if there’s a non-financial reason you can’t pay on time, please get in touch.

Trigger an Immediate Payment Attempt

To trigger an immediate payment attempt, simply update your card details on your billing page and the system will re-try the failed payment automatically within 1 hour. You can re-enter the same card details, or enter a new card.

This doesn’t count towards the four failed automated payment attempts that lead to account cancellation, as described above, so feel free to update your card as often as you need.

Note: While your account is past due you won’t have access to live chat support. Once you make a payment and your billing is brought up to date, your access to live chat will be reinstated within four hours.
